Featuring emerging work on the intersection of visual/sensory media and anthropology

Would you like your work featured?

We created visanth.platform because as a group of student filmmakers we know that getting noticed as a creative is not an easy task for someone who is just starting. Our idea is to run regular open-call events, as well as curate an online archive of all projects featured.

We want this platform to be a point of contact with emerging artists and filmmakers at the beginning of their journeys. We welcome submissions not only from visual anthropologists, but also from artists and anyone who looks critically at the world and image and who uses visual/sensory media to explore the multiplicity of ways of being human and to question the categories/realities in which we live. We welcome not just film projects, but anything that can be interacted with through the body, which can include: image, sound, smell, touch or flavour - surprise us and we will be glad to showcase your project at one of our events. We believe that learning can happen not just by reading academic texts.

If you would like to submit your work for one of our upcoming events, please contact us.
